Privacy Policy for Sentinel
Effective Date: 20/02/2026
Last Updated: 20/02/2026
Welcome to Sentinel ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have total control over your data. Sentinel is a mobile AI assistant designed to execute real-world tasks on your behalf. To do this reliably, we require access to certain personal information and accounts.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, process, and protect your data when you use the Sentinel mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Services").
1. Information We Collect
To enable Sentinel to act on your behalf, we collect the following categories of information:
- Account & Profile Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and password.
- Authentication & Credential Data: To execute tasks on third-party platforms (e.g., Amazon, Vinted, bank portals), we may temporarily securely process one-time logins, session tokens, or API keys. We do not store your raw passwords in plain text.
- Voice and Audio Data: If you interact with Sentinel via voice commands, we collect audio recordings to transcribe and process your requests using third-party providers (e.g., ElevenLabs).
- Task Context & Inputs: The text, images (e.g., photos of items to sell), and instructions you provide to execute specific tasks.
- Device & Usage Data: Information about your mobile device (OS, IP address, device identifiers) and how you interact with our app (feature usage, error logs) to improve our deterministic engine.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your data strictly to provide and improve the Sentinel experience:
- Executing Autonomous Tasks: Navigating websites, filling out forms, and acting on your specific prompt instructions (e.g., booking a table, updating an address).
- Processing AI Workloads: Translating your natural language or voice inputs into deterministic code via our AI models (e.g., Google Gemini 3).
- Security & Critical Action Gates: Verifying your identity before high-stakes actions (like payments or account modifications) using multi-factor authentication or explicit user confirmations.
- Service Improvement: Analyzing failed task flows to improve our proprietary node-based logic engine.
3. How We Share Your Data
Sentinel acts as your agent, meaning we must share your data with external parties to complete your requests. We do not sell your personal data.
- Third-Party AI Providers: We share your text, image, and voice prompts with our trusted AI partners (Google Gemini for reasoning/vision, ElevenLabs for voice) strictly for processing your requests.
- Target Platforms (Executing Your Tasks): When you ask Sentinel to perform an action on a specific website (e.g., eBay, a restaurant reservation system), we transmit the necessary data (name, address, payment info) to that specific platform on your behalf.
- Cloud Hosting & Infrastructure: We use secure cloud providers to host our backend (Node.js/SQL) and process data.
- Legal Compliance: We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, or legal process.
4. Security and Credential Management
Given the sensitive nature of the tasks Sentinel performs, security is our foundational pillar:
- Hybrid Architecture: Our AI agents do not have unchecked access to your credentials. They operate within a deterministic core that enforces strict rules on what data can be sent where.
- Encryption: All data in transit and at rest is encrypted using industry-standard protocols.
- Session Handling: We utilize secure, one-time login flows wherever possible rather than persisting sensitive session data longer than necessary.
5. Your GDPR Rights (European Users)
As Sentinel is headquartered in France, you are protected by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): Request that we delete your account and associated data.
- Portability: Request your data in a structured, commonly used format.
- Withdraw Consent: For any processing based on consent (e.g., marketing), you may withdraw it at any time.
To exercise these rights, please contact us at contact@teranga.app.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Task-specific data (chat history, temporary session tokens, uploaded images) is retained only as long as necessary to complete the task, debug failures, and provide you with a history of Sentinel's actions. You can clear your task history within the app settings at any time.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy as we add new capabilities (like new agentic workflows). If we make material changes, we will notify you via the app or email before the changes take effect.
